The Brew City Fall Open

Now that we have rebranded we figured hey let’s roll out a new name for our Fall Giant Round Robin.  We have now called our Fall Open the Brew City Fall Open and it looks to be great and competitive event this year.  It will be on Saturday, December 7th.  We will have two groups U-1700 and Over 1450.  If you like lots of play  and a chance to win money and valueable prizes then our giant round robin is for you.  There is even a recreational event for those who want to compete but are not ready for a rated event.  Sign up today!

What better way to celebrate the Brew City than to play in the Brew City Fall Open.

Website Relaunch

Welcome to our new website! We have a brand-spankin’ new logo and domain name, but not too much has else has changed for now. Over the next few months we are going to be adding more content, images & videos so stay tuned for some great improvements! Relaunch

I also want to provide you with some background on the name change. For a few years now, the board has tossed around the idea of re-branding the club name so that people outside of the Milwaukee-area would know WHERE we are.  But since the club has had such a long-standing relationship with the village of Shorewood (going back to 2003), we did not want to just give up that association. With the opening of the West Allis location as well the Badger Open and other special events we continue to host in Metro-Milwaukee, we thought the time was right to make the change now.

So we held a logo contest in January 2013 which was won by Mike Mezyan (Check out Mike’s other amazing table tennis artwork!) and we officially submitted the name change paperwork to the IRS in late summer. We designed and printed new brochures and we plan to offer club t-shirts eventually too. Of course all this is in addition to all the tournaments, training camps, coaching and Badger Open planning that we did this year. It’s been a busy year for STTC MTTC (going to have to get use to writing that), and we’re just now entering our busy season!

We hope to see you at the club!
